Each week, the reward program attached to Octaland lets you in on the lives of some of our most valued members, and this week Jarle Thorsen has given us an hour of his valuable time to get to know him a little better!
Jarle has been on the Octaland project since day one and has contributed enormously in the marketing and the social networking aspect of the business.
Jarle is a self made business man, and a very hard one at that! He successfully runs his global activities from his head office in Cyprus, and introduced to Octaland many new members using his own Social network and many of his Personal relationships.
People trust him, appreciate his loyalty, and are inspired by his wisdom and drive to succeed.

So here we go, interview with Jarle Thorsen:
Jarle, why you and Octaland?
Octaland is an “Opportunity Community”. It is driven by the community of its members, a strong network concept and a joint success of hard working people. The spirit of the “Opportunity Platform” which I brought to this is a great contributor and really makes a difference, that much is clear. I was involved with a good friend in the discussions from day one, and as co-founder of Octaland I fell in love with the concept immediately. I have my own company, and I know how hard it is to grow a good solid sustainable business and especially a network of people. Solid people you can build a business on. Who are in it for the success and not just to come and do a nine-to-five job and go home with a salary. This business is 24/7, 365 days a year. That is how our global economy works and I am proud to be in that ! I proud with the set-up of this business, I immediately used my personal network and relationships to help it grow. That´s important you know, quick growth in a business like this, and now with Octaland just being announced it is more exciting than ever!

Of course, you must be super busy, how do you divide your time between your activities and your home in Cyprus ? Well the great thing about Octaland and the reward program is, you can continue with your work and daily life as normal, as everything is on-line, and can be accessed from any country. We already have members in more than 185 countries so it is impossible to be everywhere anyway. Yes, I do travel a lot and am always on the move, as long as I have my laptop and my smartphone, I am there. And to be honest, these guys have this under control so well, you don’t need to check your account every 2 minutes. Monday´s the only day I log on to check, because Monday is Payday! All other days is just plain hard work.
Haha, yes, we heard about this famous Monday-payday thing. Is it working for you so far?
Working? It is more than working for me, it is making it for me! Of course it helps I have such a large network of likeminded people who I could introduce to the Octaland reward program, and every Monday we “tease” each other a little on what our rewards are, and who´s got the most. It’s real fun! And what is even the most important of all if I compare, it works for everyone in the club. Monday is payday for everyone, without exception. Everyone shares in the profits and the weekly results of the program!

What do you mean by compare, you would always be the winner right? You introduced all the others, isn´t that how it works?
No, not at all, that’s why this system is so amazing! To be honest, I have not been top of the list for ages! My people are making more money than me! Some even a lot more. And they deserve it because they work really hard for it and they get the results. I guess I need to review my tactics a bit!

So what does Jarle do when he is not making a load of money?
You mean in my spare time? I’m not sure there such a thing. Where can I buy some? Haha… no seriously, I have some very beautiful and amazing children who I love being with. They are so smart, much smarter than me! I was not exactly the shining star in school but I have always been working very hard, and had the opportunity to work with a lot of bright people from whom I could learn and many even became friends. So any time I get free, I spend with my family and friends. That´s all you need in the end right? Money can buy a lot of things, but it can not buy you friendship and love that you get from having a family and your friends around.
We often go on daytrips with the family, explore cities, and really get behind the history of a place. I love that stuff, and would do that every day if I could.
I am also the co-producer of a song for the daughter a friend of mine, Josie “we care we share“. The guitar player actually wrote the tune, and I named the song to the tile “We Care We Share”.
I am also involved in several charity initiatives. I believe fundamentally that everyone has a responsibility to make the world a better place, no matter how big or small your contribution is. But more about that later, or we keep going on for hours here.

I once grew a massive beard for charity, my wife and kids were not too pleased, but it was a lot of fun! I am pleased that´s over now though, It looked like the right thing to do!

Believe in yourself even if others don´t. If you have passion for something, you can make it work. Don’t get discouraged by other people’s opinions. And no matter what you decide, action means you have decided, and action means work, hard work to make things happen. No matter what it is you engage in, you need to be willing to commit to hard work. That´s what I teach my kids and what I live by, and that is also what brought me my success. It is a tough world, but if you remember who is close to you and what values and opinions matter the most, you will make a great success of whatever your venture is.
